Royalty free music is often either over-used, or needs complex licensing to use it without copyright strikes. I propose building a SaaS service where you can access music and download and use as much as you need, based on monthly billing. The genres would be varied and you could use the music anywhere - on marketing videos, explainer videos, podcasts, video games, etc

I am a composer and would build it in nocode using Airtable as my framework. There, you could access all files, preview them easily, filter by genre and mood and download and use what you need.

I am sure many of us remember the events which occurred when listening to the same song which we were listening to when those events occurred.

I happen to remember the things vividly when I play a song i.e. things which occurred earlier when I was listening to the same song several years ago. This happens usually with my favourite songs.

I don't know how this works, but I would like to know whether some form of technique can be developed to remember any stuff using songs or music.

Do you remember past events when listening to a song?

Display musical instruments used in a song #visualization #music

I like to visualise different musical instruments used in a song like Keyboard(Piano), Guitar, Drum, Violin, Saxophone, Flute etc. in my mind when I listen to the music. If you are like me, wouldn't it be nice to have the instruments displayed on the music app itself?

Ideally, The space beneath the progress bar as the song plays could be a great place for the visualisations of the musical instruments and could be disabled if not needed like how Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music do it for the lyrics.

That's all, let me know if you would like to have that feature in the music apps and let's get them working on it!

I am fed up with love/romantic songs which are mostly misogynistic, sexualising women. I have nothing against love/romance as such, but I am bored of music when every song in the playlists of the music apps is a love song.

It is either, what a man feels about a women, or a women singing about her exes, rap about every external body part of women, men singing about non reciprocating love feelings and vice versa. Is that all lyricists can do?

Music is an essential part of human civilisation, I reject the idea that we can create only love songs now. I want playlists ordered by lyrics like Philosophy, History, Science, Motivational, Pets, Vehicles, Love etc. I am sure there are songs in the past which fits into every one of those categories and more.

Perhaps this would motivate the music creators to write better songs.

There seems to be a need gap for a forum for discussing about specific songs, where a user can tell about the song they are listening to, what they like/don't like about it.

Current music based social networks like MySpace seems to be more about the music artists rather than the preferences of the music consumers. If you have opinion about this need gap, or know startups solving this problem join the discussion in the comments.

Listening to bird sounds is now recognized to have positive impact on mental health, So how about selecting a particular region on the earth and listing to high quality bird songs? There some good YT playlists but they offer limited options to select birds or regions.

I've been interesting in learning to play and produce music as an adult, and been feeling quite intimidated by the concepts of music theory and all the things that need to be remembered. I've been finding that many of the online resources seem overly complicated and tedious to follow.

I had my entire local music library on Google Play Music and I enjoyed using it while it lasted. Now I don't want to face similar situation with another music service where I upload my local library, only to find the feature removed one day and to start searching for another service.

I would like a music service where I can upload my local music library, playlists to cloud and sync across devices; I want that service to do only this and not offer other online music subscriptions as then they will treat local music upload as secondary like how its happening with all major music service apps right now.

I heard from my friends and others in forums that they are willing to pay for such a service.
